We’ve always believed that the things we put on our bodies should feel as honest and nourishing as the food we eat. Long before we started Sundial, we were the kind of kids who wanted to make things from scratch. We loved planting seeds in the garden and watching food grow, hunting and harvesting with our own hands, and knowing exactly where every bite came from.

For us, it was never just about “healthy” it was about connection. Connection to the soil, the animal, the season, and the people who tended and cared for it. There’s something grounding about seeing each step from raw ingredient to finished creation and knowing it was respected all along the way.

That’s what led us to working with tallow and sun care. Tallow is timeless it’s been trusted for centuries and it pairs beautifully with raw, simple botanicals. We wanted to bring that honesty back into skincare: a product that feels like it could have been made 100 years ago, yet works perfectly for today.
